In addition to the City receiving funds, Mr. Brozosky believed that if the Vasco <br />Landfill started accessing a tipping charge, the City would be required to conceivably <br />pay. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho said that is correct. <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern wanted the public to know that what Council is considering is a <br />portion of the Vinson property consisting of approximately 106 acres located in the <br />Devaney Canyon at the northern boundary of Pleasanton Ridge Park, for a total <br />acquisition of $140,000. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Ms. McGovern, to determine <br />that the East Bay Regional Park District proposal for acquisition of a portion of the <br />Vinson Property (Devaney Canyon) qualifies for funding under the criteria <br />established by the settlement agreement for the Alameda County Altamont <br />Landfill Open Space Fund, to authorize the County of Alameda to disburse the <br />appropriated funds for payment to EBRPD, the grantee, from the Altamont <br />Settlement Agreement, Open Space Account, and to authorize the City Manager to <br />effectuate any transactions associated with this project on behalf of the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, and <br /> Mayor Hostarman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />6._~b <br />Review and approval of Gordon Family public art proiect. He mentioned that <br />in the past, the comments are made a part of the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wolfe said that staff placed the model of the bench at the Pleasanton Library <br />for review and comments as well as displaying it at the proposed site in Val Vista <br />Community Park. <br /> <br /> There were no public speakers. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. McGovern, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to follow the <br />recommendations of the Civic Aris Commission and Parks and Recreation <br />Commission to accept the Gordon family public arts project on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern appreciated the idea that extra tiles will be purchased as the <br />mosaic artwork that was completed in the Civics Park was damaged. It is important to <br />keep the artwork intact to memorialize its citizens in this unique, practical, and tasteful <br />manner.
