Mr. Wolfe noted that the sports groups brought this concern forward to the Parks
and Recreation Commission. it was proposed that the non-irrigated area be made
available for parking, although realizing that this it not the ideal solution. The speakers
and the Commission felt that in the initial phase, this was preferable to eliminating some
of the other elements.

Mr. Brozosky asked how many paved parking spaces are available in Phase I?
Mr. Fotheringham said there are 64 paved parking spaces available.

Mr. Brozosky asked about the ability to expand the parking if vehicles are parked
on the gravel?

Mr. Fotheringham said there would a total of 140 parking spaces for the two
formal baseball fields.

There was a break at 10:15 p.m.

The meeting reconvened at 10:25 p.m.

Mayor Hosterman noted that agenda items 6d, 6e and 6f would be continued to
January 18, 2005.

Mayor Hosterman invited public comments.

Bernard Laffer, a Pleasanton resident, spoke in opposition to the placement of
the ACE train in any reasonable proximity to Hearst Elementary and Pleasanton Middle
Schools.
