Mr. Roush said that the additional cost of prevailing wages would differ from <br />contract to contract because some contractors were already paying such wages and some <br />were not. Clearly with the new legislation, prevailing wages will required more often, <br />and it will cost more. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky said that there was a significant difference in the cost of the annual <br />traffic signal maintenance contract. The increase for this contract was roughly $40,000 <br />and he did not believe the increase was all for prevailing wages. <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan said the $40,000 increase was not only for paying prevailing <br />wages. She noted that the contract increased 25 percent. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Hosterman, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following <br />actions under the Consent Calendar be taken, with the removal of agenda items 4h <br />and 40. <br /> <br />Approved the Minutes of the City Council meeting of 3/16/04, 3/23/04, and <br />4/20/04. <br /> <br />Approved the Monthly Disbursements, Investment Report, and COPS AB 3229 <br />Expenditure Reports for March 2004. (SR 04:101) <br /> <br />Approved actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission. <br />(IR 04:026) No action was taken or required on this item. <br /> <br />do <br /> <br />Awarded a construction and training agreement to Trails Unlimited of the United <br />States Forest Sen4ce for the construction of a pedestrian and equestrian trail for <br />the Callippe Preserve Open Space Project, and adopted Resolution 04-021 <br />authorizing application for Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds for this <br />project. (SR 04:099) <br /> <br />Approved the Arroyo Del Valle at Main Street Trail Improvement project in <br />cooperation with the Rotary Club ofPleasanton.
