Other Speakers

Anne Fox, 2866 Garden Creek Circle, addressed Council regarding traffic issues.
She presented to Council excerpts from the City of Livermore's General Plan related to
cut-through traffic. She also presented a list that was compiled by Caltrans and the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission, which illustrated Bay Area freeway locations
with the most delay during commute hours. She encouraged Council to focus on cut-
through traffic and model the City of Livermore's policies,

Ms. Ayala noted that following the joint CouncillPlanning Commission workshop
on traffic issues, the Planning Commission was to have continued the discussion at its
meeting the following evening. She asked in what direction the Planning Commission
was going.

Ms. Fox noted that there was some discussion at the end of the Planning
Commission meeting. She believed staff had recommended that it come up with some
issue reports and recommendations on some of the issues, which would then be presented
to Council and the Planning Commission as to what the alternatives should be for each
issue. Prior to this evening's Council meeting, she mentioned that she had received an
email which indicated that staff was trying to set up a discussion prior to the beginning of
