MEETINGS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> A presentation of the 2003 Best Workplaces for Commuters by the Environmental <br />Protection Agency was presented by Marty Robin, United States Environmental <br />Protection Agency, Region 9, San Francisco office, and Councilmember Campbell. <br /> <br /> The following Pleasanton employers were recognized as 2003 Best Workplaces <br />for Commuters by the Environmental Protection Agency: Anixter, Applied Biosystems, <br />California Indemnity Insurance Company, Carr America, City of Pleasanton, Hacienda <br />Business Park Owners Association, Intero Real Estate Services, Paychex, Inc., <br />Peoplesoit, Inc., ProBusiness (A subsidiary of ADP), Pronto Networks, Robert Half <br />International, Roche Molecular Systems, Sierra Suites Hotel/Summerfield Suites Hotel <br />by Wyndham, Standard Pacific Homes of Northern California, Sweet Tomatoes, TechRP, <br />Tyco Healthcare, Xign Corporation, and Zenith Insurance Company. The Hacienda <br />Business Park received special recognition as Pleasanton's Best Workplace for <br />Commuters District. <br /> <br />Other Speakers <br /> <br /> David Wright, 5331 Northway Road, President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts <br />Council, expressed the Cultural Arts Council's concerns related to the design competition <br />for the Bernal property. Members of the Cultural Arts Council were hopeful that input <br />from the entire community would be allowed and that the design competition would <br />move forward with a complete plan that involves both the arts and other areas of interest, <br />including sports, for the community. <br /> <br /> Matt Radman, 4258 Faiflands Drive, a student at Amador Valley High School, <br />acknowledged Council for its dedication to the community.
