AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Couneilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and <br />Mayor Pico <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Mr. Campbell publicly thanked Mr. Wolfe and his staff and Zone 7 for working hard to <br />come to a resolution in allowing residents to install private access gates along Zone 7 <br />flood control channels/City trails. <br /> <br />Mr. Pico referred to the approved Consent Calendar and pointed out Council had <br />approved a proclamation declaring October 11, 2003 as "Women Celebrating Women <br />Day," appointed members to the Trails Ad Hoc Committee to help the Park and <br />Recreation Commission with its master trail plan, in conjunction with the City of <br />Livermore declared December 17, 2003 as "100 Years of Powared Flight Day," and a <br />remembrance for former Mayor and City Leader Warren Harding. He then read the <br />remembrance, which commended Warren Harding's accomplishments and his memory, <br />and conveyed to his family the City Council's deepest sympathy for its loss. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico recognized the Pleasanton Rage Girl Soccer Teams Under 12 State <br />Champions and Under State 15 State Champions. He acknowledged and applauded them <br />for their outstanding performance and commitment. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky assisted the Mayor in presenting the proclamations. <br /> <br /> Coach Gary 0etman publicly recognized and thanked Mr. Wolfe and the City for <br />providing them with the resources they needed. He mentioned that the Pleasanton Rage <br />Girl Soccer Team Under 18 were also state champions but noted that many team <br />members were off to college. <br /> <br /> Coach Philippe Blin recognized Under - 12 State Championship team members <br />Michelle Avandano, Krista Bormarm, Samantha Cloutier, Marisa Fmtice, Tanya Hanson, <br />Stacey Hildebrand, Claire Kennedy, Olivia Klei, Ashley Loughmiller, Amanda Luxford, <br />Ashlyn Mazur, Rachael McGlinchy, Sophie Metz, Carlee Payne, Katie Voss, and <br />Kimberly Zetterlund. <br /> <br /> Gary Mello, Assistant Vice-President for Competition Ridge Club, stated that the <br />club has an outstanding organization and an outstanding technical director. The girls <br />present are a living example of what is possible. He concurred with Coach Oetman's <br />comments and commanded Council, staffand the community for what they have done for <br />the girls and what they have provided.
