Craig Issod, Vice President of External Affairs for Easter Seals Bay Area, said the <br />Kaleidoscope facility is the only program of its kind in the Tri-Valley that serves children <br />and young adults with developmental disabilities. It is an after school program that helps <br />them take steps to independence. He said they serve 45 individuals with 37,000 service <br />hours a year. The new project will expand capacity to 78 individuals. He noted even <br />though the facility is in Dublin, it serves hundreds of Pleasanton families. He explained <br />the fund raising efforts for the project and expressed his thanks to Council for its support. <br /> <br />Adopted Resolution No. 03-095, making appointments to various City Commissions and <br />Committees. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Gail Gilpin announced the names of the businesses to be honored. Ms. Hosterman <br />presented awards to Richard and Joan Dubord of Main Auto Parts, which has been in operation <br />in Pleasanton for 25 years, and to Larry Ely of Aqua Temp, which has been in operation in <br />Pleasanton for 30 years. <br /> <br /> Wayne Rasmussen presented a video regarding the Callippe Preserve Golf Course <br />construction status. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico asked when the golf course would open. <br /> <br />Mr. Rasmussen said the estimated date is October 2004. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico referred to cones in the road where sewer and water outlets were being <br />installed and asked if that work was complete. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen said the film was two weeks old and most of that work has been <br />completed. Some striping, sign replacement, and minor repair work are still necessary and that is <br />expected to be done in two weeks.
