MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />July 15, 2003 <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with Labor Negotiator, Deborah McKeehan, regarding Management <br />Compensation Plan. <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Halliwell v. City of <br />Pleasanton). The City Attorney reported out that the City Manager was authorized to sign a <br />settlement agreement. <br /> <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:05 <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He thanked the <br />community for its support of the 4H livestock auction, especially Safeway Stores. The meat was <br />not for use in the stores, but the purchase was to support the youngsters. He commented on the <br />success of the First Wednesday events and announced the forthcoming Wine Stroll in downtown <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Jennifer Hostennan, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff <br />members present were: Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Steven Bocian, Deputy City <br />Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Robert Wilson, Director of Public Works; Brian Swift, <br />Director of Planning and Community Development; James W.
