part of the golf course project determined the road was sufficient to handle the traffic volumes
expected. The narrow street acts as a traffic calming device and requires caution on the part of
drivers.

Jay Loflhouse-Zeis, 6028 Alisal Street, presented a picture to Council and complained
about the widening of Alisal. The sign that used to be two feet from the edge is now right at the
edge of the new mad. The mailboxes are now less than two feet from the street traffic. Alisal
used to be about twenty feet fi'om stripe to stripe. The widest is 24 feet from blacktop edge to
blacktop edge. His fence is now only seven feet away from the road. He noted Alisal has been
expanded to 26.5 feet. He said there is supposed to be a pathway and he could not see where
there was room for it. He asked for an explanation of why this road was being widened.

There were no further speakers.

,6.
