Ms. Michelotti appealed to Mr. Ciesielski to use prudent judgment and to display the <br />American or other national flag. <br /> <br /> A substitute motion was made by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mayor Pico, to refer the <br />matter to the neighbors to see if they could reach a solution <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councllmember Ayala and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: Councilmembers Campbell, Dennis, and Michelotti <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution No. <br />02-127, denying the appeal and approving the application to construct a 30 foot flagpole <br />with an eagle on top (total of 31 feet), illuminated by a 75 watt bulb, and requiring it to be <br />shut off at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmember Campbell, Dennis, and Michelotti <br />NOES: Councilmember Ayala and Mayor Pico <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Pleasanton Downtown Business Improvement District Advisory. Board Report and Budget <br />and Levy. of Assessments for 2003 (SR 02:270) <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico abstained from this item due to a conflict of interest, since he is a member of <br />the Downtown Association. <br /> <br />Dave Iremonger presented the report. <br /> <br /> Pamela Stoddard, Pleasanton Downtown Association, 830 Main Street, Suite A, related <br />the scheduled community events for 2003. In addition to those events, the Association is <br />working on a marketing plan, design and parking enhancements for the downtown district and <br />other ways to encourage business retention and recruitments. She is honored to be the Executive <br />Director of the Pleasanton Downtown Association. She enjoyed working with all the Board, <br />volunteers, and committee members. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution No. <br />02=128, accepting and approving the report of the Pleasantun Downtown Association <br />Advisory Board and levying the annual assessment for 2003. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 23 11 / 19/02 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
