MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON AND PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />JOINT MEETING <br /> <br />March 11, 2002 <br /> <br /> The City of Pleasanton - Pleasanton Unified School District Joint Meeting was <br />opened by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:18 p.m. Mayor Pico and School Board President Pat <br />Keman lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> Those in attendance were Councilmembers Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky <br />Dennis, and Sharrell Michelotti; Mayor Tom Pico; Deborah Acosta McKeehan, City <br />Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Susan Rossi, Director of Finance; Randall <br />Lu_m, Director of Public Works; Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks & Community Services; <br />and Marsha Schmiegel, Deputy City Clerk from the City of Pleasanton. Attending from <br />the Pleasanton Unified School District were School Board Trustee Members Kris <br />Weaver, Cindy McGovem, Gloria Fredette, and Juanita Haugen; Board of Trustee <br />President Pat Kernan; Bob Kroetch, Transition Superintendent; Sandra Lemmons, <br />Assistant Superintendent, Administrative Services. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico welcomed those in attendance and emphasized the Building a <br />Community of Character Elements which were developed by the Pleasanton City Council <br />and the Pleasanton Unified School District. He repeated the character elements of <br />Integrity, Honesty, Responsibility, Respect, Compassion, and Self-Discipline as a model <br />for our community. <br /> <br /> Board President Keruan thanked the City Council for hosting the meeting, saying <br />these joint meetings are done at least twice a year. <br /> <br />1. Meeting Open to the Public <br /> <br />There were no speaker cards submitted. <br /> <br />2. Vineyard Infrastructure and Financing for Neal School and the Vineyard <br />Corridor <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan introduced the item and gave a brief background for the <br />infrastructure and financing reports in the Vineyard Corridor. The two finance staffs <br />have put together this joint report. Randall Lum presented the infrastructure staff report. <br />Susan Rossi and Susan Lemmons presented the financial staff report. <br /> <br /> Doyle Heaton, Delco Builders in Concord, said he and three other builders <br />represent approximately 80 - 90% of the lots in the area. These groups urge the Council <br />and Trustees to come to an agreement to make this happen.
