Mayor Pico stated that they try to provide every opportunity for the public to attend the Council meetings and 7:00 p.m. works best. Ms. Michelotti expressed concern about the cleanliness of the downtown sidewalks and trash containers, especially on the southwest comer of Angela Street. Ms. McKeehan indicated staffhad discussed the particular location and indicated that is an issue with the merchants because that is their private container. Staffwill work with them. She also noted it is time for the regular steam cleaning of the sidewalks. Ms. Michelotti also noted there were problems with animal deposits. Ms. McKeehan indicated the Downtown Association has been very helpful in working with the merchants and businesses regarding the cleanliness. Ms. Michelotti relayed comments about how beautiful the planters look and repeated her long held desire to have hanging baskets of flowers along Main Street. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR No actions was required or taken. 9. CLOSED SESSION Council adjourned to a closed session at 11:50 p.m. to discuss the following topics: Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation concerning firearm ordinance. Conference with Labor Negotiator Deborah McKeehan regarding the Pleasanton city Employees Association and the Management Pay and Performance Plan. Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation with the City and county of San Francisco and Bruce Lymbum concerning Pleasanton's acquisition of the three acre Civic Center parcel. 10. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:20 a.m., to meet again in a Regular Session on Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at 200 Old Berual Avenue.
