She said they were doing a great job and it was shown tonight that it can be
done. The progress that has been made, the $$0,000 that is set aside each year for public
art purchases went through the same process. She encouraged the citizens who were
watching to get involved and a great deal of good will comes fi-om people speaking to
this matter.

Councilmember Ayala appreciated and agreed with all of the remarks made
tonight. She felt very comfortable that this process gets the City started and would like to
pledge to the people her support for the surplus funds that are available. She encouraged
them in the area of art for children. The School District and the City have been working
hand in hand on the Youth Master Plan. The arts come up time and time again. She said
again that she is extremely committed to all of the interests expressed tonight and pledged
her support.

Councilraember Michelotti thanked the people who contacted her personally and
is thankful the future of the arts is in Pleasanton and is planned for. She appreciates their
interest because the energy exhibited has raised it to a higher priority in everyone's mind.
It helps remind us that we all have busy lives and the feeling part of our being really
needs to be touched. We can all use this lesson to do that. She thanked them for their
effo~s and everyone, particularly the children, will be touched by their efforts. She
encouraged them to keep up the good work and the City is moving forward. She thanked
them for making a difference in the community.

Councilmember Campbell said he was impressed with the level of intensity and
level of passion.
