Approve the project plans and specifications for the construction of the Hopyard <br />Road planter strip landscaping from Golden Road to Secretariat Drive. Project <br />No. 997023; review the bids received and award the contract for construction of <br />the subject project to White Oak l.andscape, Inc., for a low bid of $99,974.00; and <br />authorize the City Manager to execute the subject contract. (SR00:265) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution No. 00-122, making application to the Local Agency Formation <br />Committee CLAFCo') requesting it to take proceedings fur the proposed <br />Annexation No. 141 (San Francisco Bemal Property), pursuant to the Cortese- <br />Knox Local Government Reorganizarion Act of 1985, lbr annexation of 496 acres <br />to the City of Pleasanton, located on the south side of Bernal Avenue across from <br />the Alameda County Fairgrounds; and direct staff to noti~ the applicant that it is <br />required to prepare the necessary maps and pay all the required annexation fees. <br />(SR00:264) <br /> <br />l'he roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> The oath of office was administered to the newly appointed commissioners by <br />City Clerk Peggy Ezidro. The commissioners were: Housing Commission - Larry <br />Levin, Christine Steiner, Kurt Wiest; Library Commission - Cathe Norman, Pat Murray, <br />Ann Radford; Youth Commission - Terry Edwards, Amy Tasker, and Ashley Buonarmo- <br />Dunka. <br /> <br /> Retiring Human Services Commissioner Charles Deckerr was presented with a <br />pl~tue in appreciation for his service. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBI.IC <br /> <br /> A presentation was given by Ellen Pensky and David Bouthard regarding <br />Technology Market Place 2000, which will take place on October 24, 2000. <br /> <br /> Cameron Sullivan and Steve Goins presented a proposal for a Children' s Museum <br />in the Tri-Valley area and asked for community and Council support of the project. They <br />are seeking a site for the museum and sponsorship.
