Valefie Hurst, 3593 Arbor Court, stated her concerns regarding the protection of
the homes on the west parcel from a 100-year flood. She wotdd like to see all of the
grading completed early in the plan. Parking is another issue she feels has not been
adequately addressed. Additional housing for lower income families should be provided.

Gloria Davis, 2354 Meadowlark Drive, representing Windsor Homeowners,
expressed disappointment, clarification and a plea to the Council. She was disappointed
with the Planning Commission recommendations. She discussed clarification on the
closest park for the houses in her area. She made a plea to Council not to put houses on
every part of the available land.

John Billings, 2637 Starling Court, felt that the progress presented by Greenbriar
was excellent and would like 18 holes of golf appruved. He feels a clover leaf freeway
approach should be considered for the potential traffic flow. He would like to see a
parking structure considered. Soundwalls are something that he does not want to see
built on this property.

Mike Duarte, 6665 Singletree Way, President of American Little League,
expressed his desire to have lighted, dedicated baseball diamonds on the Bemal Property.

Roger Marruing, 4725 First Street, spoke about the product mix proposed by
Greenbriar for the project. He urged the City Council to continue with this process and to
not lose the partnership created.

Richard Henehold, 2186 Rheem Drive, #C, representing Pleasanton Pony
Baseball, felt that Mr. Duarte expressed the concerns of the basebail community. He felt
that the location of a lighted field near the Pleasanton Middle School is an excellent
choice.

Bob Perko, 2274 Coming Brazos, President of the Pleasanton National Little
League, supported what Mr. Duarte and Mr. Henehold had previously stated. He wanted
to see Pleasanton provide the quality of fields that the athletes in the community deserve.

Bob Nickeson, 4260 Pleasanton Avenue, had questions abom the berms proposed
and lot locations.

Dolores Bengtson, 568 Hamilton Way, spoke about her frustration in watching
this plan develop. This is Pleasanton's last remaining piece of undeveloped land and she
is concerned about breaking the land into parcels. She would like to see the entire
property planned in one piece. She understands the speed at which this project is moving
and feels everyone is having a hard time keeping up with the information being
developed. She feels strongly in favor of a nine hole golf course planned for this
property. Park fees are another area that needs to be addressed. Mitigation was another
concem she had along with the ownership of the Arroyo. She questioned the ongoing
responsibility of maintaining the proposed berms.

City Council Workshop 2 08/10/00
Minutes
