Curt'eat <br />rates are at 6.1%. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotli clarified that there is currently a 20% discount for seniors and the <br />proposal is to add another 10% discount for a total of 30%. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver reiterated the 20% was for seniors with a proposed additional 10% <br />for low income seniors. <br /> <br /> Ms. Rossi said there is also a 20% discount for low income individuals that are <br />not seniors. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet wanted the additional 10% for low income whether a person is a <br />senior or not and asked what financial burden that would place on the City. <br /> <br /> Ms. Rossi said there are only a few people who have applied for the low income <br />discount so she did not think the increase would be significant. <br /> <br /> Joseph Russo, 6772 Paseo San Leon, spoke in support of Measure I, the bond <br />measure regtwiin8 the San Francisco Bernal property. He wanted the property to be <br />owned by the City of Pleasanton and any development to be conuolled by the City. <br /> <br /> Jack Hovin___gh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, commended staff for the report and timing <br />a way to mitigate the impact of purchasing the property from San Francisco. He <br />supported edoptln8 this discount whether or not the ballot meastffe is npproved.
