CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner referred to the improvements in the downtown area and the many good <br />things that are happening downtown. She then pad a poem enti~ed "It Couldn't Be Done". <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta announced that Pleasanton is in the finals for consideration for the League <br />of California Cities Putnam Award for the downtown improvement project. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver recognized the members of Boy Scout Troop 949 and welcomed them to <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. l~.zidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Rebecca L. Dennis, Karin Mohr, Thomas P. Pico, Jr., Dorothy <br />Scribner, and Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; Bill van Gelder, Traffic Engineer, <br />and Chris Sherwood, Management Analyst. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />There were none. <br /> <br />4.
