After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that Resolution No. 80-301, recommending to the Alameda County Board <br />of Supervisors that only the area on the south side of Vineyard Avenue (approximately <br />90 acres) be rezoned and that this be rezoned to a minimum lot size of 2~ acres, and <br />that the portion of the study area north of Vineyard Avenue between the eastern City <br />Limit Line and the bend in Vineyard Avenue would be an appropriate site for manu- <br />factured housing or mobile homes once urban services can be provided to the area and <br />after Pico Avenue is connected to Stanley Boulevard to provide alternate access, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the City Council to amend Section 2-9.40 of Article 18, Chapter 2, <br />Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton which would regulate <br />political and other temporary signs <br /> Mayor Mercer opened the public hearing on this item and continued it to the <br />meeting of December 23, 1980, 8:00 P.M., Fairgrounds Cafeteria, at the request of <br />staff. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 946, amending Title IV by adding Chapter 9 (Noise Regu- <br />lation) and amending Title I, Chapter 1, Section 1-1.15 making violations of ~ach <br />chapter an infraction <br />(Re-intro. 11-17-80, 5-Ayes) <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of December 23, 1980, <br />at the request of staff. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 950, adding Section 4-5.25 (Canine Defecation) to Article <br />3, Chapter 3, Title IV, and amending Section 1-1.11 of Chapter 1, Title I to make <br />violations of certain sections of the Ordinance Code infractions <br />(Intro. 11-17-80, 3-Ayes, 2-Noes) <br /> Mayor Mercer referred this item to the Park and Recreation Commission for their <br />review and recommendation and for possible verbage changes by the Police Chief and <br />City Attorney. He stated that further consideration for adoption of the ordinance <br />would take place after the above actions have been completed. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Report on Rear-yard Setback Requirements in Residential Districts <br /> Action on this item was taken before Public Hearings on the agenda. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report on Traffic Study-Intersection of Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 80:334) dated November 18, 1980, regarding <br />this matter for the information of the Council.
