MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />October 19, 1999 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tarver at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Dennis led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She pointed <br />out the importance of being informed for the November election and reading the sample <br />ballot. If a voter has misplaced the sample ballot, a replacement can be obtained from the <br />City Clerk or the Registrar of Voters. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. <br />Pico, Jr., and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were Deborah Acosta, City <br />Manager; Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Larissa <br />Seto, Assistant City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; Gail Gilpin, Economic <br />Development Manager; and Tim Neal, Chief of Police. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Ms. Acosta reminded Council of the items which had been added by addendum, <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Miehelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following <br />actions be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />a. Approve the City Council Minutes for 10/05/99. <br /> <br />b.
