ReSulating Card Rooms~.,.Card TableS~ and the. use thereof for Gambling Mr. Raymond Baker, representing Mr. & Mrs. Shaw, owners of the Pastime Pool Club, requested that the City Council continue this Public Hearing to April 14th, in order to allow him additional time to study the proposed ordinance. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that this public hearing be continued at 8:00 P.M., on April 14, 1969, at the request of the applicant. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Rega M~TTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION Discussion Re: Proppsed Quarry on App.erson RidSe Mr. Fales reviewed the action that has been taken by various concerned Com- missions regarding this proposed quarry on Apperson Ridge. After considerable discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman SpiliotoDoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the City Council not take a position on the proposed quarry on Apperson Ridge because of it not being within the Pleasanton General Plan area. Councilman Reid stated that he felt the City Council should take a position on this matter and as a substitute motion, moved, and was seconded by Councilman Beratlis, that this matter be continued until the Valley Planning Committee report is reviewed, before a position is taken by the City Council on the proposed quarry oD Apperson Ridge. Mayor Gerton reconvened the meeting at 10:44 P.M. ~PECIAL REPORTS(Continued} I~eDort Re: Action_b_y__Zone No. 7 at their meeting of March 19~ 1969, rej]ar~~ ~7~truction of flood control facilities along the Arroyo Mocho between tleDyard ~,A.~ Santa Rita Roads Mr. Fales reviewed his report, dated March 28, 1969, on the recent Zone 7 Bosrd Action regarding the improvement of the Arroyo Mocho. Judge William Gale, representing the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, stated that the Zone 7 staff has been directed by their Board to proceed width the engineering design of the Mocho from Hopyard to Santa Rita Road and to negotiate with the Southern Pacific Company for the construction of new railroad bridges at Tassajara and Mocho and to negotiate with the City of Pleasanton for the construction for a new Santa Rita Bridge. Judge Gale also reported that their bond funds cannot be used to improve the quality of the water being used. Mayor Gerton thanked Judge Gale for his report. REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Reports of Boards and Commissions were listed on the Consent Calendar. PFPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Fvrther consideration of the Requested Rate Increase for Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. Mr. Fales stated that he had received correspondence regarding installation charges and the poor level of service, and recommended these letters be considered at the Public Hearing. Councilman Beratlis questioned a method of computation and asked Mr. Edgar to have the City's Accountant determine this method. It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilmst~ Reid that the Public Hearing on the rate increase for Tele-Vue Systems be set for 8:00 P.M. on May 5, 1969.
