MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California July 22, 1969 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG Mayor Bernard Getton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Rega, Reid and Mayor Getton were present. Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of P~blic Works, were present. Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, was absent. AGENDAAMENDMENTS Mr. Fales stated that there was an error in the language in item (a) of the Consent Calendar. He reported that it should read "from the A (Agricultural) District to the PUD District" instead of "from the A (Agricultural) to the RM-2500 (Multiple Family) District". CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Rega that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: 1. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 562, rezoning from the A (Agricul- tural) District to the PUD District, that property generally located east .__ of Hopyard Road and south of the Del Valle Parkway, containing approxim~tely 22.77 acres. 2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 562. 3. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-172a, accepting a Deed from Amador Valley Investors for the park. 4. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-172b, accepting a Deed from Amador Valley Investors for the park. 5. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-173, accepting an easement for a street from Stoneson Development Company. 6. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-174, accepting an easement for a street from the Pleasanton Joint School District. 7. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-175, accepting an easement for drainage from the Pleasanton Joint School District. 8. Approving and authorizing payment of the June, 1969, Claim Warrants, in the amount of $107,627.20. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Rega, Reid and Mayor Getton --- NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of Tele-Vue Systems,.Inc.~ f9~ an increase in the rates char~ed to CATV subscribers in the City of Pleasanton Mayor Getton declared the public hearing on the above application re-opened. Mr. Keith Fraser, Attorney for Tele-Vue Systems, Incorporated, reported that he, as well as Mr. Fales and Mr. Hirst, artended the hearing in Sacramento on July 16, 1969, regarding Senate Bill 1077, relating to Cable Television. He stated that the matter had been put over until July 21st. Mr. Fraser stated that he called Mr. Wheeler, the consultant to the Senate Committee today, and was advised that this bill will not be heard this year. Mr. Wheeler also advised Mr. Fraser that he and Senator Danielson will amend this bill and hold public hearings sometime next year.
