MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> July 22, 1969 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG <br /> Mayor Bernard Getton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Rega, Reid and Mayor Getton were present. Councilmen Beratlis and <br /> Spiliotopoulos were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant <br /> City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of P~blic <br /> Works, were present. Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, was absent. <br /> <br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Fales stated that there was an error in the language in item (a) of the <br /> Consent Calendar. He reported that it should read "from the A (Agricultural) <br /> District to the PUD District" instead of "from the A (Agricultural) to the <br /> RM-2500 (Multiple Family) District". <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Rega that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> 1. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 562, rezoning from the A (Agricul- <br /> tural) District to the PUD District, that property generally located east <br /> .__ of Hopyard Road and south of the Del Valle Parkway, containing approxim~tely <br /> 22.77 acres. <br /> <br /> 2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 562. <br /> <br /> 3. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-172a, accepting a Deed from Amador Valley <br /> Investors for the park. <br /> <br /> 4. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-172b, accepting a Deed from Amador Valley <br /> Investors for the park. <br /> <br /> 5. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-173, accepting an easement for a street from <br /> Stoneson Development Company. <br /> <br /> 6. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-174, accepting an easement for a street from <br /> the Pleasanton Joint School District. <br /> <br /> 7. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-175, accepting an easement for drainage from <br /> the Pleasanton Joint School District. <br /> <br /> 8. Approving and authorizing payment of the June, 1969, Claim Warrants, in the <br /> amount of $107,627.20. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Rega, Reid and Mayor Getton <br />--- NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> Application of Tele-Vue Systems,.Inc.~ f9~ an increase in the rates char~ed to <br /> CATV subscribers in the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mayor Getton declared the public hearing on the above application re-opened. <br /> Mr. Keith Fraser, Attorney for Tele-Vue Systems, Incorporated, reported that <br /> he, as well as Mr. Fales and Mr. Hirst, artended the hearing in Sacramento on <br /> July 16, 1969, regarding Senate Bill 1077, relating to Cable Television. He <br /> stated that the matter had been put over until July 21st. Mr. Fraser stated <br /> that he called Mr. Wheeler, the consultant to the Senate Committee today, and <br /> was advised that this bill will not be heard this year. Mr. Wheeler also advised <br /> Mr. Fraser that he and Senator Danielson will amend this bill and hold public <br /> hearings sometime next year. <br /> <br /> <br />
