Mayor Getton asked each Councilman to speak briefly on their jobs as Councilmen. Councilman Reid stated that he felt his work as a Councilman was serving the public to the best of his ability. Councilman Beratlis stated that he felt the Councilmen should work as a team to serve the public. Councilman Sptliotopoulos concurred with the remarks of Councilmen Reid and Beratlis and added that his job of serving the community was made easier because of moral suDpOrt and understanding of his wife. City Council Reorganization It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Mayor Getton that Resolution No. 70-85, appointing Councilman Robert Reid as Mayor of the City of pleasanton, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton NOES: None L~ ABSENT: None "D It was moved by Mayor Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolution L.) No. 70-86, retaining Councilman George Spiliotopoulos as Vice-Mayor, be~adopted. Mayor Reid stated that he would do all in his power to serve the City as well as ex-Mayor Getton had done. Mayor Reid also welcomed Councilman Pearson to the City Council. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 9:00 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on April 27, 1970.
