<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FlAG
<br /> Mayor Bernard Gerton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of ~he City Council
<br /> to order and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br /> Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Mr.
<br /> Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney,
<br /> and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, were present. Mr. Castro, Director of
<br /> Planning, was absent.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Gerton, on behalf of the City Council, accepted a birthday cake from the
<br /> Campfire Girls, District 11, in commeration of the 60th anniversary of their Dis-
<br /> trict. Mayor Gerton and each Councilman expressed appreciation to the Campfire
<br /> Girls who made the presentation.
<br />
<br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS
<br /> There were no amendments to the agenda.
<br />
<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos
<br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved.
<br />
<br />-- a. Approval of the February, 1970, Claim Warrants, in the amount of $63,066.78.
<br />
<br /> b. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-50, accepting the Public Service Easement for
<br /> Adams Way.
<br />
<br /> c. Scheduling a Public Hearing on the application of Arthur Wyler and Mary Perry
<br /> to prezone, pending annexation, to the RM-1500 District from the existing
<br /> County Agricultural District, that property known as 3773 Vineyard Avenue,
<br /> said property described as Parcel 2, Block 1699 of Alameda County, Assessor's
<br /> Map Book 946, containing approximately 3.56 acres, for April 13, 1970.
<br />
<br /> d. Scheduling a public hearing on the application of Mackay Homes to amend the
<br /> PUD for Tentative Tract Map No. 3165 to provide for a 4.0~ acre church site
<br /> in lieu of six RM-4 (Multiple) and 12 R-1 (Single Family) lots, generally
<br /> located on the southeasterly side of Hopyard Road and northerly of the Arroyo
<br /> del Valle, for April 6, 1970.
<br />
<br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-51, accepting the improvements, regarding the
<br /> Tennis Courts on the Pleasanton Elementary School Grounds; Asphalt Surfacing
<br /> Company, and authorizing the issuance of the Notice of Completion.
<br />
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:

<br /> Mayor Getton read a letter, dated March 4, 1970, from Mr. Art Vieira, Chairman
<br /> of the Certification Committee of the Northern San Joaquin Section of the California
<br /> Water Pollution Control Association, which stated that three City employees;
