MINUTES Of TIlE MEETING Of TIlE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California August 3, 1970 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk tIelen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton~Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Hro tlirst, City Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public I!orks, were present. Mr. Fales~ C4ty Manager and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were absent. AGENDA AMENDMENTS There were no amendments to the Agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the following items listedon the'Consent Calendar, be approved. a. Waiving of the readingof Ordinance No. 607, Amending Section 1-5.23, Article 2, Chapter 3, Title I, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to exemptions to the Business License Tax. b. Adoption of Ordinance'No. 607. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 70-173, Accepting the Public Improvements in Tract No. 3047, Unit No. 2, Stoneridge. d. Adoption of Resolution'No. 70-174, Authorizing Progress Payment No. 2, in the amount of $26,039.07, be made to Leitz Construction Company for workscompleted on Fire Station No. 3. e. Scheduling a public hearing on August ~1, 1970, on the report of the Planning Commission regarding an application to prezone from the County's Agricultural. District to the City of Pleasanton's Public and Institutional~District, that property generally located east of Foothill Road and south of Flagstone Drive, said property described as Parcel 69, Block 1049, Book 941 of the Alameda County Assessor's Office and containing approximately 2.07 acres. f. Scheduling a public hearing on August 31, 1970, on the report of the Planning Commission regarding an application to rezone from the Commercial Freeway District to the Commercial Service District that property described as aportion of Parcel 8-2, Block 3370, Book 946 of the Alameda County Assessor's Office, said property containing approximately .57 acres and generally located west of Santa Rita Road between the Arroyo del Valle and the Western Pacific Railroad.
