COMMUNICATIONS No other communications were read at this meeting. CITY COUNCIL, COMMITTEE REFORTS Councilman Pearson reported on the Valley Planning Committee meeting. He stated that a representative of the Governmental Services Agency present at this meeting, explained the procedure on acquiring surplus Federal La~d. Councilman Beratlis reported on the meeting he artended of the Valley Sand and Gravel Committee. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL Mfl~BERS Councilman Pearson asked if the problems out].ined by SACEtA, which concerned Pleasanton, had been referred to the Community Concerns Committee. He was informed that this matter had been referred to this Committee for recommendation to the City Council. MEETING OPEN TO TIlE PUBLIC FIr. Robert E. Lee, 4938 Drywood, asked if anyone had contacted PUG yet regarding the matter of public transportation in this Valley, which he brought before the Council several weeks ago. Mr. Fales explained that this had not been done because the BARTD study would be underway very shortly. Mr. Lee also questioned the Council on the qualifications of the newly appointed Planning Commissioners. Mayor Reid explained the procedures. Mr. Lee also asked for a list of the Commissioners who had artended Planning Seminars or classes. Fales stated that this list could be secured from the Director of Planning. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Reid adjourned the meeting at 9:20 P.M., to an Executive Session. Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 9:50 P.M.
