Ed ticDonald, representing the Rural Foothill Defenders Commit- <br /> tee, presented a petition for referendum on Ordinance No. 629. Foot- <br /> hill Road rezoning, which was signed by some 2000 registered voters <br /> of the City of Pleasanton. The petition was accepted and filed by <br /> the City Clerk. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CO!-~!ITTEE Pj~POP. TS <br /> <br /> There were no City Council Committee reports. <br /> <br /> HATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBEP~S <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson initiated discussion on the City paying for the <br /> paving of the parking lot which will be associated with the library <br /> which is to be re-located on the Amador Park site. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fales reported that at such time as the library is terminated at <br /> the park site, the parking lot will become a portion of the park and <br /> will be a permanent improvement. <br /> <br /> After additional discussion, it was moved by Councilman Spiliotop- <br /> oulos and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the City of Pleasanton <br /> ~vill re-pay Alameda County for the actual cost of the installation <br /> of a parking lot at the time the interim Library location upon the <br /> park is terminated providing that after the Library is removed the <br /> parking lot will be returned to the City for municipal use in good <br /> and useable condition. <br /> <br /> 5. 5-17-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
