MINUTES of THE ~ETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California November 1, 1971 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO TIlE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City. Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Councilman Gerton was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr o Hirst, City ~.ttorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Cas,tro, Director of Community Developemtn, were present. AGEN DA A/4EN DMENTS Mr. Edgar requested that item "i" , regarding the acceptance of Improve- ments, First Street Resurfacing, Project No. 71-5, be added to the Consent Calendar. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Continuin~ to December 6, 1971, the approval of the Final Map and Improvement Plans, Tract No. 3312, Val Vista, Unit No. 7. b. Setting the public hearing for November 22, 1971 on the appeal of J.W.F.Parrish from an adverse decision of the Planning Comm- ission regarding proposed signs relating to Building 5, Pleasanton Shopping Center, Hopyard Road and Valle~.~ Avenue, Job r.]o. 7030A. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-213, approving the agreement for Completion of Improvement Work with Villa Armando Winery. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-214, Approving the Final Map and Improvement Plans, Tract No. 3098, Vintage Hills, Unit No. 8. e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 645, effecting modifications in the Uniform Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Codes in order to accommodate local conditions and adopting the 1970 -- Housing Code and the 1971 National Electrical Code. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-215, emdorsing the concept of the Parks and Recreation Resolution No. R-71-17 for the establish- ment of a World of Nations Pathway of Trees in ~mador Valley Community Park. g Adoption of Resolution ~o. 71-216, accepting Grant Deeds from & Mary L. Toman and from Anne Marie Bush for Public Service h easements.
