Report Re: Pr0po.s. ed Flea Market at the Fairgrounds <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar reviewed the background information on the proposed Flea <br /> Market. <br /> <br /> After some discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman <br /> Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the proposed <br /> Flea Market at the Alameda County Fairgrounds be approved with the <br /> conditions outlined on the application. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton and Spiliotopoulos <br /> NOES: Councilman Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Proposed Policy Re: Private Sewage SXstems in connection with.-sparcel~ <br /> occupied industrial developments_." ~ ~ <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar read his report dated October lZ, 1971 in which he recommen- <br /> ded that a special permit for a private sewerage disposal system may <br /> be approved by the City Council providing the applicant .meets some <br /> seven conditions. <br /> <br />After some discussion, it was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and <br />seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolution No. 71-211,,.approving <br />.the policy regarding Private Sewage Disposal Systems as prescribed <br />in the City Manager's report dated October 12, 1971, be adopted. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br /> NOES: None Mayor. Reid.. <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Matters for the information of the Council <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar announced that dignataries from Vietnam will' 'be 'touring the <br />City of Pleasanton on November 10th and asked that the Mayor and Coun- <br />cilmen be on hand to greet them. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar stated that an article about Pleasanton was published in <br /> the current issue of the American City Magazine. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Proposed agreement with developers Re: Private financing. of expanded <br />disposal area for the Sunol Blvd Sewage Treatment 'Plant with reim- <br />bursement made through the, impositioh of a sur~Charge <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst reviewed his agreement and answered questions from the <br />Councilmen. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman <br />Spiliotopoulos that Resolution No. 71-212, approving the reimbursement <br />agreement regarding advances by homebuilders for expansionpf effluent <br />irrigation' fields' ajacent',to the'City'Sewer Treatment Plant, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: - <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Spiliotopoulos and~ Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 4 10-18-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
