thought that total conversion by 1975, give or take a year, was possible~ <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell explained that the financing needed to convert the Pleasan- <br /> ton Valley area could be accomplished in stages by using the sewer conn- <br /> tion fees, but the Council must decide on a method of financing the <br /> conversion of the area east of Main Street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar explained the various methods of financing for the Civic Center <br /> and the Sewer Phase-out. <br /> <br /> Discussion on these methods is to be continued ~.~hen all members of the <br /> Council are present. <br /> <br /> Report of the City Manager ..regarding Capital Improvement PrOgram <br /> Report of the City Manager regardin, g the Proposed General Plan Review <br /> The above repor~ will be presented at a later date. <br /> <br /> Matters for the information of the Council <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar stated that Mr. Wallace Decker, Chairman of the Pleasanton <br />Elementary School Board of Trustees would like to ask the City Council <br />to endorse an informational program. <br /> <br />Mro Decker stated that the trustees have proposed that posters, which <br />will contain the pertinent facts regarding the policies of the school <br />district concerning the impact on the schools because of the growth in <br />the community and of the inability to build new schools under the State <br />Building Aid Program, be posted in banks, the City Hall, Development <br />Tract Offices and where ever else is appropriate. <br /> <br />Pleasanton Elementary School Trustees A1 Dutchover, Joe Schwab and <br />Jim Kane were present in the audience and urged the council to endorse <br />this informational program. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Vice-Mayor Spiliotop- <br />oulos that Resolution No. 71-193, approving the Pleasanton Joint <br />Elementary School District Informational Program, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follo~s: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilman Gerton, Pearson and Vice-Mayor Spilioto'3oulos <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT~ CounCilman Beratlis and Mayor Reid <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />There Were no reports from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />'COMMUN I CAT I ON S <br /> <br />Letter from William I.
