Adoption of Tesolution No. 71-181, ~eviewing bids and authoriz- <br /> ing purchase of one dump truck. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Ra~d <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />F.U~LIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Report of the =City Attorney. regarding a proposed ordinance which would <br />add Chapter 10, rei'ating to the preservation of trees on private prop- <br />ert'y, to Ti'tle II 'of the Ordinance Code of the ..C.'ity.'0f Pleasanton. . <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst reviewed his report and explained the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar read a letter from Mr. Warren Annis, dated August 30, 1971, <br />which stated that the City is violating a basic constitutional right <br />of the individual by the adoption of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Ted Fairfield stated that he is not against the City adopting this <br />ordinance but 'felt that there were some potential problems with the <br />mechanics O~ :~this ordinance ' <br /> <br />There being n.o further comments from the public, it was moved by <br />Councilman Beraltis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the <br />public hearing be; closed, <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beraltis, Gerton, Pearson, Spilie~opoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2.
