MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California August 16, 1971 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were also present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS It was requested that item "i" regarding the approval of Final Map and Development Plans for Tract No. 3290, Las Positas, Unit No. 2, be removed from the Consent Calendar. Councilman Gerton, on behalf of the Council, congradUlated Mr. Edgar on the birth of a son on August 15, 1971. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved. a. City Council minutes of the meetings of July 12th, 19th, and 26th, 1971. b. July, 1971, Claim Warrants in the amount of $144,675.93. c. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 635, regarding the Park and Recreation Commission amendment of Ordinance No. 426. d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 635. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-161, supporting A.B.A.G. Executive Committee recommendation regarding Navigation on the Bay. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-162, approving an agreement between the City and ZOne No. 7, regarding the construction of Santa Rita Road Bridge. g. Continuing to September 13, 1971, the approval of Final Map and Improvement Plans, Tract No. 3312, Val Vista, Unit No. 7. h. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-163, authorizing the City Clerk to complete the Canvass of Election Returns prior to August 24th, 1971.
