MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> ~f <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> July 19, 1971 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br /> Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pl. ed~e o~ a~le~ance <br /> to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearsong Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br /> were present. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City <br /> Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Sooby, Senior Engineer, and <br /> Mr. Castro, Director of Planning, were present. Mr. Campbell, Dir- <br /> ector of Public Works, was absent. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hirst stated that he would like to add a report regarding Assembly <br /> Bill!No~ 1375'to his reports. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved. <br /> <br /> a. June, 1971 Claim Warrants in the amount of $92,565.22. <br /> <br /> b. Waiving of the reading of Ordinance No. 632, annexing <br /> property included in Annexation No. 66, Buti-Mancini, which <br /> contains approximately 17 acres and is located north of Pico <br /> Avenue and east of the Pleasanton Elementary School. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 632. <br /> <br /> d. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 634, levying a surcharge <br /> on developments sewering through the Sunol Boulevard Plant. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 634. <br /> <br /> f. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-146, consolidating precincts, <br /> designating polling places, appointing election officers, <br /> and fixing condensation for election officers for the <br /> Referrendum Election. <br /> <br /> g. Setting the public hearing for August 2, 1971 for the report <br />-- of the Planning Commission regarding an amendment to Medical <br /> Office Parking requirements, to amend Section 2-9.16 (3f) <br /> of the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 71-147, re-affirming Pleasanton's <br /> concurrence that lnter.q.~te 580 and 680 be designated <br /> Scenic Highways and indicating Pleasanton's desire to be <br /> included in the Scenic Highway Corridor studies which are <br /> now being conducted by the State. <br /> <br /> <br />
