tO BASSA. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT': None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF ~BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> Report of the Director of Parks and Recreation Re: Revision of t~he <br /> Park Dedication Ordinance <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar reviewed the report of' the Director of-Parks' and Recreation <br /> "which'outlined the discussion held at the joint meeting on May 18th, <br /> of' the Planning Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission and <br /> Councilmen Herlihy and Pearson. ' <br /> <br /> In his report, Mr. Patton stated that the consensus of all concerned <br /> was as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Park Dedication Ordinance should be amended, based <br /> upon the ICalifornia Supreme Court Ruling, to apply to <br /> all residential construction' and not just subdivided land. <br /> <br /> 2..That..the .present ratio of 1 acre per each one-hundred <br /> dwelling units constructed should be increased to two- <br /> acres per. one-hundred and those two acres should be at <br /> least minimumly developed, such as graded and turfed, <br /> · which would cost approximately $6,250 per acre." <br /> <br /> Discussion. ensued regarding the fees' associated with this matter. <br /> -Councilman. Mori expressed his concern with the amount of fees that are <br /> continualty~ being placed on residential dwellings. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dick Brayden, McKay and Somps, stated that he felt that some trade- <br /> off should ~be worked out with the developer which would be in keeping <br /> witha'land use intensity concept. <br /> <br /> ~The .staff was lins~ructed rodraft a revision to the Park Dedication <br /> ' Ordinance as outlined in..the =report from the, Director. of~ Parks and <br /> ,Recreation, dated May 25, 1972. <br /> <br /> 'Mrs',Edgar asked that' the item under Public Hearings regarding Consider- <br /> · ation ~by the Planning Commission for possible lifting of the Study <br /> · Dis~crict from Areas "B" and "D" of properties tributary to the Sunol <br />=~-.! ~'~ ~"~Treatment Plant be discussed at this time. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid! declared the Public Hearing open and asked for a staff <br /> report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Castro reviewed his report of May 25th and other related reports. <br /> ..... He displayed maps of. the areas involved and explained the types of <br /> zoning in the ~areas under consideration. <br /> <br /> In conclusion, Mr. Castro recommended that the Study District be lifted <br /> on Area "B,' and that Area "D" be referred back to the staff' for fur- <br /> the r . study. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid raised the question on the status of the Convalescent Hos- <br /> pital on Del Sol Avenue. <br /> <br /> After some discussion on this, Mr. Castro was instructed to investi- <br /> gate the matter,of the .time limit on zoning of the property for the <br /> hospital. <br /> <br /> 5. 6-5-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
