Letter from Samuel Sansome, Re: Obligation to protect the <br /> interests of the established businesses~ <br /> <br /> b. Letter from Francis B. tIeadley, Re: City Council meeting of <br /> February 9, 1972. <br /> <br /> c.Letter-from ~eight Watchers of Northern California, Inc., <br /> Re: Proclamation. <br /> <br /> Letter from Rudy Gatti, Supt., Pleasanton Joint School <br /> District, Re: Support of Proposition #2~ <br /> <br />in answer to Mr. Rudy Gatti's request, it was moved by Councilman <br />Pearson and seconded.by.Councilman Spiliotopoulos that Resolution <br />No. 72-31, supporting Proposition No. 2, on the June 6, 1972 ballot, <br />be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor <br />NOES: None Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />There were no City Council committee reports. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> <br />Councilman Gerton re-initiated discussion regarding Councilman <br />Pearson' s position by his discussing with the managers of Lucky <br />and Alpha Beta Stores, their actions regarding advertising in the <br />Independent Newspaper. <br /> <br />Councilman Spiliotopoulos initiated discussion regarding both the <br />widening of Santa Rita Road and the reducing of speed limits on <br />Hopyard Road. Mr. Edgar stated that Staff reports on both these <br />subjects are forth-coming. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid reported that the Valley Mental Health Committee is <br />expanding its membersk~ip to include one each representative from <br />Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin, and asked the Council to consider <br />a Pleasanton representative. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid asked~ Mr. Edgar to investigate the matter of Allen' s <br />Ambulance Service not stationing an ambulance in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO TIlE PUBLIC <br />No one addressed the Chair. <br />ADJOU RNMEN T <br /> <br />There being no flu~ther business at 11:10 ~.M., it was moved bY Council- <br />man Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the meeting be <br />adjourned to meet again in Adjourned Regular Session at 8:00 P.M. on <br />March 6, 1972. <br /> <br /> 6. 2-28-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
