AdoptiOn Of Ordinance No. 651 <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman <br />Beratlis that Ordinance No. 651, be adopted~ <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> <br />There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting~ <br /> <br />Pj~PORTS OF BOARDS ~/~D COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />There were no reports from boards and commissions~ <br /> <br />P~'PORTS OF TttE CITY D..~NAGER <br /> <br />Final consideration for retention of a Consultant for Review of <br />General Plan <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that in view of the requested responses from <br />Planning Commissioners and Councilmen regarding the selection of <br />a consultant for the review of the City's general plan, his recommend- <br />ation would be that the City Council formally select the firm of <br />Livingston and Blayney to complete the General Pl'an review, and that <br />the staff be authorized to develop a specific "Scope of Study to be <br />Completed", a financial estimate approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />After discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman Spilio- <br />topoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the firm of <br />Livingston and Blayney be retained as Planning Consultants for the <br />General Plan review. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilmen Gerton and Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report Re: Sewer Connection Surchar.ge Increase <br /> <br />~4r. Edgar reviewed his report, dated February 22, 1972 and recommended <br />that Ordinance No. 634 be amended to increase the sewer connection <br />surcharge as outlined in his report. He stated that this money <br />wou]Id be used to off-set the money spent on the modification program <br />an~' oder --,ntrol system at the Pleasanton Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />After considerabl~ disc~ssion on this matter which included the <br />possiblility of raising the sewer service charge, the staff was <br />directed to prepare an alternate proposal to off-set the current <br />modification costs. <br /> <br />~eport Re: Sewer Priorities as .propOsed.. bY v.c. s.
