Letter from Los Positas Homeowners Ass.n.~ Re: Speed Limits <br /> Mr? Edgar presented this letter. Councilman Pearson stated his concern in <br /> this regard, and requested the matter be studied by the Traffic Committee. Mr. <br /> Campbell stated that i~ would be, with a report forthcoming to the City Council <br /> with solutions uo the problem as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMI:rTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy asked if anyone from Pleasanton was on the Airport Com- <br /> mission Board. Mr. Edgar replied that Mr. Castro represented the City and that <br /> Roger McLain was also working in this capacity. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy also stated he had received a number of complaints regard- <br /> ing the curb around the signal at Black Avenue and Santa Rita Road about getting <br /> bicycles across. Mr. Campbell replied there were two ways to approach this pro- <br /> blem and he would report back to the City Council with a solution at next Monday <br /> night's meeting. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori inquired as to when the signal at Hopyard Road and Black <br /> Avenue would be activated. Mr. Campbell stated it was scheduled to be turned <br /> on November 13th~ Councilman Mori stated the bicycle path at this signal light <br /> should also be taken into consideration. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney expressed concern at the parking problem on the corner of <br /> Del Valle Parkway and the access road at Hopyard. Mr. Campbell stated he would <br /> look into this and make a recommendation soon. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson asked if the City had taken care of the divider strips in <br /> Fairlands yet. Mr. Campbell stated he would check into the matter. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 9:25 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 10:10 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that Resolu-. <br />tion No. 72-192, reappointing Philip Cooper, Sharon McKinnon and Richard Pearson to <br />four year terms expiring 10-20-76, and appointing Marilyn Niepoth to fill the un- <br />expired term of Robert Conholly, said term expiring 11-2-73, on the Community Con- <br />cerns Committee, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Re- <br />solution No. 72-193, appointing Dewitt Ault and Norbert P.
