Mayor Reid stated that it should be understood that this boundary study should <br /> be viewed as only committing the City to the Eastern boundary of the City and did <br /> not commit the City to any proposal regarding the ultimate Northern, Western, or <br /> Southern boundaries. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Report of the City Mana~er~ Re: Citizen Participation in General Plan Review <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report regarding the General Plan Review Citizens <br />' Committee, requesting the City Council to adopt the following recommendations: <br /> <br /> 1. All of the persons who have volunteered to participate in the General Plan <br /> Review be informed that they are now on the cor~nittee, provided that they <br /> currently reside in the existing planning area. <br /> <br /> 2. That the public be informed that the citizens committee will be structured <br /> in a general way and will be open ended in order that as many people can <br /> participate as possible and that citizens will be able to move in and out <br /> of the committee depending upon their interest at particular stages of the <br /> project. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council will appoint a chairman, vice-chairman, and various sub- <br /> committees. <br /> <br /> 4.The citizens committee will be organized around various issues which would <br /> be discussed during the course of the General Plan Review. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid requested that the selection of chairman of the citizens General <br /> Plan Review committee should be made by the City Council in Executive Session. <br /> He further stated it was inappropriate for any person already serving on a <br /> Board or Commission of the City of Pleasanton, to be on this citizens committee. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, to <br />.... adopt the recommendations of the City Manager as listed above in regard to the <br /> General Plan Review citizens committee. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stressed the importance of every interested citizen being urged <br /> to participate on this committee. <br /> <br /> Bid Results for the Lease of one-half ton Van <br /> Larry Miller presented the staff report regarding bid results to lease a one- <br /> half ton Van~ <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested bid results be obtained in order to purchase the <br /> one-half ton Van, and asked that the matter be continued until the meeting of <br /> November 13th, for this information. <br /> <br /> Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from John Bowling, Pleasanton Housing Authority, <br /> to Roger McLain, Planning Commissioner, regarding Pleasanton Greens. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Letter and two ordinances from City of Lodi~ Re: Dru~ Abuse <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the letter, stating no action was required. <br /> <br /> Letter from C. Overaa & Co.~ Re: Bonde Reservoir Bid Documents <br /> Mr. Edgar presented this letter, stating no action was required. <br /> <br /> Letter from Richard R. Yackle~ Inc.~ Re: Environmental Impact Statements <br /> Mr. Edgar presented this letter, stating no action was required. <br /> <br /> 4. 11/6/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
