It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman- <br /> tterlihy that Ordinance No. 682, approving the application of the <br /> Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton to amend the existing <br /> zoning for that property bounded on the north by Interstate Highway <br /> #580, on the east by Interstate Highway #680, on the south by Stone- <br /> ridge Drive and on the west by Foothill Road. Said property and <br /> proposed amendments described more precisely as follows: To the <br /> P.U.D. Multiple District those parcels defined as follows: Portion <br /> of 941-1201-12-3, Portion of 941-1201-10, Portion of 941-1201-5, <br /> Portion of 941-1201-2, 941-1201-3, 941-1201-4,941-1201-11, said <br /> parcels containing more or less 97.645 acres, with the following two <br /> understandings attached: <br /> 1. The school site problem must be resolved <br /> 2. The City Council makes not commitment to a residential plan, <br /> density or units, <br /> be introduced. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen,Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman <br /> Kinney, that Resolution No. 72-182, upholding the decision of the <br /> Planning Commission in denying the application of Willow-West Proper- <br /> ties regarding COmmercial zoning on their application for Regional <br /> Shopping Center, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />~YES: l_~ CoUncilmen Iterlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to amend Title II, Article 2, <br />Section 2-~.38 of the Ordinance Code o'f the City of Pleasanton to <br />p~'~mi~ ~he use of a barbershop as a condi'tional use in the 0 (Office) <br /> District I · <br /> <br /> This matter was continued to the meeting of November 6, 1972. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />City Council Discussion Re: November Propositions <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded <br />by Councilman Mori, that Resolution No. 72-183, supporting the League <br />of California Cities position on the November'Ballot Propositions, and <br />also taking a YES stand on Proposition 2, and excluding Proposition 18, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: .... ~ouncilmen Heriihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman <br />Herlihy, that Resolution No. 72-184, supporting PropoSition 18 be <br />adopted. <br />The roll. call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson stated his reason for opposing Proposition 18 <br />is because he felt it was useless to try to legislate morals by any <br />City. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Presenta~ionby Associated Home Builders of the Greater Eastbay, Inc., <br />Re: Form~iati~n of Regional Growth Poli.cy <br /> <br /> -7- 10/30/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
