It was moved by Mayor Ruid, and seconded by Councilman Pearson, that Councilman <br />Herlihy be selected as Mayor P~lo-Tempore for a one year term. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Kinney <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilman Mori <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stated chat it has been a distinct honor and privilege for him to <br />serve as Mayor for the past three year~ and as a chosen representative of the <br />people for the past seven years, and stated that in the difficult growth years <br />the people of Pleasanton have maintained a high spirit, which makes the City a <br />good place to live~ May=~r Reid commended the City staff and thanked all those <br />who have been helpful and k~.nd to him during his term of office. Mr. Edgar <br />recommended that this item be continued one month pending finalization of a legal <br />agreement in this ~egard. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gatti, School District Superintendent, extended congratulations to Mayor <br />Pearson.
