CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-155 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF <br /> THE GENERAL PLAN TO LIMIT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF UNITS <br /> GIVEN GROWTH MANAGEMENT APPROVAL (GP-88-1) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Housing <br /> Element of the General Plan to limit the total number of <br /> housing units which can be given Growth Management <br /> approval and to exempt housing projects of five units or <br /> less; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 5, 1988, the City Council <br /> reviewed the report of the Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development (SR 88:115) regarding the proposed <br /> General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on the <br /> proposed changes and has made recommendations concerning <br /> same; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br /> was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment <br /> and adopted Resolution 88-122 on March 15, 1988 <br /> approving the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing with respect to <br /> the General Plan Amendment at which time any member of <br /> the public was offered the opportunity to address the <br /> City Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make changes to the Housing <br /> Element of the General Plan at this-time as one of the <br /> four times during the calendar year such changes may be <br /> made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> change the Housing Element of the General Plan to limit <br /> the total number of housing units which can be given <br /> Growth Management approval to a maximum of 650 units for <br /> market rate projects, with the potential to consider <br /> exempt projects up to 1,000 units maximum (for low <br /> income plus market rate), to retain the five unit <br /> exemption, and to keep in effect the State of the City <br /> Evaluation. <br /> <br /> <br />
