19 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Nay 6, 1974 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEIXIE TO THE FLAG <br /> Nayor Pro Tam Kinney called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P,M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Roll Call is recorded as follows: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman <br />LeClaire, Councilman Philcox were present. Mayor Mori was absent. Mr. Edgar, <br />City Hanager, was present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAHENIRtENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar introduced an additional item relating to the proposed Family Variety <br />Show to be held at the Fairgrounds on August 24, 1974. Mr. Edgar stated that the <br />application meets the requirements and has been approved by the Police Department, <br />The only question at this point was whether the City Council would permit telephone <br />soliciting as part of the publicity in Fremont and Hayyard. The City Council app=oved <br />the application with the understanding that the staff would inform both <br />of Fremont and Hay~ard that telephone soliciting would occur in their city relativ~ <br />this event. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Report Re: Brief Progress Report Re: Horizons <br /> Hr. Petrillo presented the progress report regarding the Horizons program <br />formerly called Valley Wide Youth Council. Mr. Petrillo reviewed the foremat and <br />annual report of Horizons and set ,forth some of the statistics related to thepro- <br />gram. After some ~iscussion the City Council thanked Mr. Petrillo for his project <br />report and endorsement of the program and instructed the staff to provide a copy of <br />sta~istical data related to the program to the City Council at an early date. <br /> <br />.'~ The City Council then interviewed candidates for Linermore Air Quality Con~nittee <br />and the Park and Recreation Commission at 8:35 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNNENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:13 P.M., it was moved by Councilwoman <br />LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the meeting be adjourned <br />meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M. on May 13, 1974. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire and Councilman Philco~ <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Nayor Nori <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />~/ILLIAH H.
