Rejort, Re: Water Pressure in Harris Acres
Mr. Eaton presented the staff report regarding this matter explaining
that in addition to the alternatives listed in the report, another
solution could be the installation of a pressure regulator in the main,
itself. This way, the pressure could be controlled and increased by steps,
enabling the system to be monitored to determine whether it could with-
stand increased pressure.

It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Mayor Mori, that
staff proceed with the study as outlined in the staff report, and
report back to the City Council in 60 days, with a specific course of
action.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman
Philcox, and Mayor Mori
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
Mr. Edgar reviewed the documents necessary to implement financing
for these public improvements. He stated that the, total obligation to
the City would be $2,329,831. The Council was also reminded that an
environmental impact report had been prepared on the shopping center;
the Council had previously reviewed this document; and the Council should
consider the contents of that report when taking action with regard to
the Assessment Districts.

Mr. Robert Brunsell, Sturgis, Den Dulk, Douglass and Anderson, ex-
plained that there are four separate Assessment Districts to be voted
on at this time. He stated further that in their memorandum to Council,
they omitted the filing of petition for work. These petitions for work
have now been filed with the City Clerk. Mr. Brunsell requested that
the public hearing on the formation of the district, previously set for
May 28, be rescheduled to Wednesday, May 29, 1974. He indicated that
this correction would be made on the appropriate documents.
