Mro Edgar presented his report dated July 15, 1974, regarding Pleasanton Valley <br />Sales Pavilion being utilized as a Club House on Val Vista Park. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented Chamber of Commerce resolution regarding Parking District, <br /> <br /> Mro Edgar presented cost estimate relative to PG&E undergrounding in connection <br />with Assessment District 1974-1 - Foothill Road. <br /> <br /> Mro Edgar presented letter from CAGE, dated July 17, 1974, requesting a study <br />session with the City Council regarding Kaiser Dump Proposal. The Council scheduled <br />a study session for this matter on August 12, 1974, 6:30 P.M., at the Pleasanton <br />Justice Court. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edgar stated that a copy of the Enviromnantal Impact Report for V.C.S.D. <br />Sewage Treatment Plant was on file in the Library for Council perusal. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar stated the Community Concerns Committee meeting scheduled for July <br />25, 1974, had been cancelled due to lack of quorum. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar stated that odors from the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment Plant <br />were due to cleaning out the ponds and should clear up within a week. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report, Re: AuthOrization to proceed to obtain appraisal. ~greements for certain <br />public improvements <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 19, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating that it is necessary for the City to obtain appraisal reports for certain <br />public works projects to be undertaken during the fiscal year, and staff requests <br />authorization to obtain proposals for such appraisal work. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />the City staff be authorized to obtain proposals for appraisal work for various <br />public works projects for Fiscal Year 1974-75. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Philcox <br /> <br />Approval of A~reement with City and. Cg~nty of san Franciscot Re: Permit for <br />Sewage Disposal Fields <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 18, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating that in order to meet the requirements of the Regional Water Quality Con- <br />trol Board pertaining to control of run off from the City's spray disposal of <br />effluent, it is necessary for the City to acquire additional property from the <br />City and County of San Francisco pursuant to a permit. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Scheidig also requested authorization to go to bid for construction of <br />one Pond upon completion of negotiations. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />the staff be directed to proceed with negotiations with the City and County of <br />San Francisco for the acquisition through a permit of 100 acres of additional <br />property for the construction of holding ponds and that the Mayor be authorized <br />to execute said permit upon conclusion of negotiations with the City and County <br />of San Francisco, and that Skaff be authorized to go to bid for construction of <br />one Pond upon completion of negotiations. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Philcox <br /> <br />Approval of Agreement with Gene Dana Re: Sewage Disposal Fields <br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 18, 1974, regarding this matt.st, <br />stating that it is necessary for the City Council to authorize execution of this <br />agreement in order for the City to proceed with negotiations with the City and <br />County of San Francisco to obtain the property for holding ponds discussed in <br />the previous item. <br /> <br /> 5. 7/22/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
