Mro Edgar presented his report dated July 15, 1974, regarding Pleasanton Valley Sales Pavilion being utilized as a Club House on Val Vista Park. Mr~ Edgar presented Chamber of Commerce resolution regarding Parking District, Mro Edgar presented cost estimate relative to PG&E undergrounding in connection with Assessment District 1974-1 - Foothill Road. Mro Edgar presented letter from CAGE, dated July 17, 1974, requesting a study session with the City Council regarding Kaiser Dump Proposal. The Council scheduled a study session for this matter on August 12, 1974, 6:30 P.M., at the Pleasanton Justice Court. Mr~ Edgar stated that a copy of the Enviromnantal Impact Report for V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatment Plant was on file in the Library for Council perusal. Mr. Edgar stated the Community Concerns Committee meeting scheduled for July 25, 1974, had been cancelled due to lack of quorum. Mr. Edgar stated that odors from the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment Plant were due to cleaning out the ponds and should clear up within a week. REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY Report, Re: AuthOrization to proceed to obtain appraisal. ~greements for certain public improvements Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 19, 1974, regarding this matter, stating that it is necessary for the City to obtain appraisal reports for certain public works projects to be undertaken during the fiscal year, and staff requests authorization to obtain proposals for such appraisal work. It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the City staff be authorized to obtain proposals for appraisal work for various public works projects for Fiscal Year 1974-75. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Philcox Approval of A~reement with City and. Cg~nty of san Franciscot Re: Permit for Sewage Disposal Fields Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 18, 1974, regarding this matter, stating that in order to meet the requirements of the Regional Water Quality Con- trol Board pertaining to control of run off from the City's spray disposal of effluent, it is necessary for the City to acquire additional property from the City and County of San Francisco pursuant to a permit. Mr~ Scheidig also requested authorization to go to bid for construction of one Pond upon completion of negotiations. It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the staff be directed to proceed with negotiations with the City and County of San Francisco for the acquisition through a permit of 100 acres of additional property for the construction of holding ponds and that the Mayor be authorized to execute said permit upon conclusion of negotiations with the City and County of San Francisco, and that Skaff be authorized to go to bid for construction of one Pond upon completion of negotiations.
