MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 1, 1974 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Councilman William Herlihy called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council to order at 5:26 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Councilman Philcox were present. <br />Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori were absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, <br />City Attorney, Mrs Campbell, Assistant CityManager/Director of Public Works, and Mr. <br />Miller, Assistant to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire that <br />Councilman Herlihy be appointed to Chair the meeting. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Councilman Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori <br /> <br />LABOR RELATIONS <br /> Chairman Herlihy stated this meeting was called to review Labor Relations. Mr. <br />Herlihy fuzther stated an agreement had been reached with the PoC.EoA. and he read <br />the provisions of this agreement° <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br />Resolution No~ 74-140, accepting the Memorandum of Understanding between the City <br />of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton City Employees Association and fixing salaries and <br />conditions of employment for enumerated classes of employees for Fiscal Year 1974-75, <br />be adopted° <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Chairman Herlihy <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori <br /> <br /> Chairman Herlihy stated that regarding Local 1974 negotiations, staff recommends <br />that in light of the fact that negotiations have been going well that provision of <br />retroactive resolution be granted, effective July 1, 1974, if agreement is reached <br />by July 12, 1974~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that <br />Resolution No. 74-141, indicating the City Council~s intention to grant to members <br />of the international Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1974, benefits negotiated <br />under a Memorandum of Understanding if agreed to by July 12, 1974, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Chairman Herlihy <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori <br /> <br /> Chairman Herlihy stated the next matter to be considered was the Management <br />Compensation Plano <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br />Resolution Nc~ 74-142, adopting a compensation plan for Executive, Middle Management <br />and Confidential personnel for the City of Pleasanton and repealing Resolution No. <br />73-114, be adopted~ <br />The re]l call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Chairman Herlihy <br />NOES: ~on <br /> ~! e <br />.ABSENT: Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori <br /> <br /> <br />
