425 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 16, 1975 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Edward Kinney called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 PoM., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, <br />McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. <br />Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director <br />of Housing and Community Development, Mr. McCloud, Acting Director of Public <br />Safety, Mr. Nelson, Police Captain, Mr. Cherry, Fire Captain, and Mr. Miller, <br />Assistant to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested that an item be added to the agenda - Resolution approv- <br />ing revision to Cooperation Agreement on the Housing and Community Development <br />Act of 1974. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, <br />that Resolution No. 75-131, approving revision to the Cooperation Agreement on the <br />Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 funds, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmember Herlihy <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After some discussion, it was decided that Councilmember Helen Titsell, from <br />the City of Livermore, be invited to make some comments to the City Council on <br />June 23, 1975, at 6:45 P.M., at the Council Chambers, regarding COVA. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Individual Departmental Presentations <br /> <br />(1) Department of Housing and Community Development <br /> Mr. Bowling reviewed the organization, operations, and problems related <br /> to Housing and Community Development. <br /> <br />(2) Department of Public Safety (Police and Fire) <br /> Mr. McCloud reviewed the organizat{on, operations, and problems related <br /> to Public Safety. Captains Nelson and Cherry assisted in the presentation. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:50 P.M., Mayor Kinney adjourned the <br />meeting, to meet again in Executive Session at 5:00 P.M., on June 17, 1975, at <br />City Hall Conference Room. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H.
