<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Edward Kinney called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
<br /> 8:00 P.M.,. and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br /> Councilmembers Herlihy, LoCiairs, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present.
<br /> Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant
<br /> CityManager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director of.Housing and Com-
<br /> munity Development, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering ServiCes, and Mr. Walker,
<br /> Assistant to the City Manager, were present.
<br />
<br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that item 4g be deleted, and substitute Progress. Payment
<br /> No. 3, to Tom DeHerrera, for work completed on Bicentennial Park.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that item 8a, Report of the Park and Recreation Commission,
<br /> Re: Review of Goals and Objectives 1975-76, be heard after the Consent Calendar.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Kinney requested that a presentation by Interstudy be heard after the
<br /> Consent Calendar.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember McLain requested that the Minutes of May 27, 1975, be corrected
<br /> on page 3, last paragraph, to read: "Councilmember McLain requested that the study
<br /> of this area include potential traffic problems".
<br />
<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Gouncilmember LoCiairs, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy,
<br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended,
<br /> and the agenda as amended:
<br />
<br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for May 27, 1975, as amended, and June 2, 1975.
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-114, approving Claims for the month of May, 1975,
<br /> in the amount of $198,363.92.
<br />
<br /> c. Proclaim September 1-7, 1975, as Union Label Week on behalf of Central Labor
<br /> Council of Alameda County.
<br />
<br />d. Proclaim June 14, 1975, as Flag Day.
<br />
<br /> e. Proclaim July 4, 1975, as a day to lienor America°
<br />
<br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-115, approving Progress Payment No. 1, to
<br /> Chalet Construction, in the amount of $17,613.40, for work completed on
<br /> Cultural Arts Building.
<br />
<br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-116, approving Progress Payment No. 3, to
<br /> Tom DoMefrets, in the amount of $21,146.77, for work completed on Bicen-
<br /> tennial Park.
<br />
<br />h.Adoption of Resolution No. 75-117, granting of a Deed of Conveyance to
<br /> PG&E, re2arding Lighting in Peters Avenue L.I.D. Parking Lot.
<br />
<br />i. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-118, approval of Agreement with State of
<br /> California, regarding Federal Aid Improvement Projects, Automatic Gates
<br /> on St. Mary Street Crossing of Western'Pacific Railroad Company, and
<br /> authorizing the proper City officials to execute the document.
