4O5 <br /> <br />The following persons spoke regarding this matter: <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Aldrich, 437 Rose Avenue <br /> Mrs. Birdie Bianchi, 4329 Railroad Avenue <br /> Mrs. Anna Martinsen, 4038 Payne Road <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Mayor <br />Kinney, that Mr. Jerry Aldrich be refunded the water connection fee but that he be <br />required to pay the sewer connection fee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers LeClaire, McLain, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmembers Herlihy and Philcox <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney instructed the City Attorney to modify the two Water Ordinances to <br />bring them into conformance. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the memorandum of the Assistant City Manager, dated May 20, <br />1975, requesting donations for Century House furnishings. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from the Department of the Army dated May 16, 1975, <br />regarding Alameda Creek Urban Study. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from Helen Tirsell, Chairperson COVA, regarding <br />the City Council's position concerning the ability of COVA to serve as a forum for <br />projects which have Valley-wide interest. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented City of Livermore's reorganized City Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from the Chamber of Commerce dated May 23, 1975, <br />reaffirming their support of the Stoneridge Overcrossing. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Philcox reports on the LAVWMAmeeting of May 21, 1975. He stated <br />the next meeting would be June 10, 1975. <br /> <br /> Councilmember McLain stated he was sending written reports on his meetings with <br />the homeowners associations to the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire reported on Senator Alan Cranston's field tech repre- <br />sentative Jerry Yoachum's day in Pleasanton on May 16, 1975. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No. 75-113, commending Frank Auf der Mauer and Pleasanton Cabinet <br />Shop, for the generous donation presented to Century House, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember McLain inquired as to why the blinkers at Santa Rita Road and <br />West Las Positas were continually flashing. Staff will investigate. <br /> <br /> Councilmember McLain stated he had seen children playing with contractors' <br />equipment and requested staff to inform contractors to keep their equipment <br />stored in a safe place. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pending Litigation <br /> Mayor Kinney recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reconvened the meeting at 11:55 P.M. <br /> <br /> 6. 5/27/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
