<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Floyd Mori called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
<br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor
<br /> Mori were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Camp-
<br /> bell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director of
<br /> Housing and Community Development, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and Mr. Sooby,
<br /> Director of Engineering Services, were present.
<br />
<br /> PRESENTATION FROM PLEASANTON YOUTH~ INC. TO THE CItY
<br /> Mr. Walt Wood introduced Mrs. Fran Willjams, President of the Junior Womens'
<br /> Club. Mrs. Willjams presented the City with a check in the amount of $3,680.00,
<br /> to be used for manpower at West Wind, Pleasanton's youth center. Mayor Mori, on
<br /> behalf of the City Council, expressed appreciation for this generous donation.
<br />
<br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested the following changes be made to the agenda:
<br />
<br />1. Item 7b - Report of the Planning Commission, Re: Application from Richard
<br /> Burge for a revision to PUD-73-2, to allow the addition of a second floor
<br /> to a commercial building now under construction; said commercial building
<br /> is located on the north side of Valley Avenue approx. 590 feet west of Santa
<br /> Rite Road, Pleasanton; zoning for the property being C-N (Commercial Neigh-
<br /> borhood) District, be continued to the meeting of April 28, 1975, at the
<br /> request of the applicant.
<br />
<br />2. Item 7c - Public Hearing, Re: Appeal of Richard Burge from an adverse deci-
<br /> sion of the Planning Commission in denying application for a conditionaluse
<br /> permit to allow the expansion of a commercial building located on the north
<br /> side of Valley Avenue approx. 590 feet west of Santa Rita Road, for the pur-
<br /> pose of accommodating office uses; zoning for the property is C-N (Commercial
<br /> Neighborhood) District, be continued to the meeting of April 28, 1975, at the
<br /> request of the applicant.
<br />
<br />3. Item 8a - Report, Re: Appeal of Hart & Ice from Notice of Intent to file
<br /> Environmental Impact Report, Conditional Use Permit 75-2, be withdrawn from
<br /> the agenda at the request of the applicant.
<br />
<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that
<br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved, and the agenda as
<br />amended:
<br />
<br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for February 24, 1975.
<br />
<br />b. Proclaim May 11-17, 1975, as National Transportation Week in Pleasanton.
<br />
<br />c. Proclaim March 29-April 6, 1975, as KQED Week in Pleasanton.
<br />
<br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-47, approving acceptance of St. Mary's Street
<br /> Water Line.
<br />
<br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-48, approving PG&E Agreement, Assessment
<br /> District 1974-10, Peters Avenue Parking L.I.D.
<br />
