MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL September 15, 1975 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Edward Kinney called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. Council- member McLain was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Direc- tor of Housing and Community Development, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Nelson, Police Captain, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Eaton, Director of Field Services, and Mr. Klenk, Fire Prevention Officer, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Edgar requested the following items be added to the agenda: Approval of Resolution Resolvin~ a Water Meter Connection Dispute b~tWeen the City of Pleasanton and Zone 7 Mr. Edgar presented a resolution regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, that Resolution No. 75-200, a resolution resolving a water meter connection dispute between the City of Pleasanton and Zone 7 of the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember McLain Report~ Re: Review of Bids Received and Award of Contract~ Sludge Drying Beds, Project No. 75-4 Mr. Edgar presented the report of the Director of Field Services, dated September 15, 1975, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that the contract for ten Sludge Drying Bids, Project No. 75-4, be awarded to Deetz Construction Company, in the amount of $16,330o21, and authorizing the pro- per City officials to execute the agreement. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember McLain SPECIAL ITEM Hearing Re: Appeal from action of Planning Commission of August 4~ 1975~ denyin~ Zequest by Dr. Howard Lon~ for modification of the Subdivision Ordinance provi- sions (Sections 2-3.40 and 2-4.01) relating to public streets in subdivisions and lot standards Mayor Kinney presented the history of this appeal and stated that all material relevant to this item had previously been submitted to the Council. Mayor Kinney requested that those desiring to speak at this hearing be sworn in at this time by the Court Recorder.
