MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 15, 1975 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Edward Kinney called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 7:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. Council- <br />member McLain was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, <br />Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Direc- <br />tor of Housing and Community Development, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. <br />Nelson, Police Captain, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Eaton, <br />Director of Field Services, and Mr. Klenk, Fire Prevention Officer, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />Approval of Resolution Resolvin~ a Water Meter Connection Dispute b~tWeen the City <br />of Pleasanton and Zone 7 <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a resolution regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, <br />that Resolution No. 75-200, a resolution resolving a water meter connection dispute <br />between the City of Pleasanton and Zone 7 of the Alameda County Flood Control and <br />Water Conservation District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember McLain <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Review of Bids Received and Award of Contract~ Sludge Drying Beds, <br />Project No. 75-4 <br />Mr. Edgar presented the report of the Director of Field Services, dated <br />September 15, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that the contract for ten Sludge Drying Bids, Project No. 75-4, be awarded to <br />Deetz Construction Company, in the amount of $16,330o21, and authorizing the pro- <br />per City officials to execute the agreement. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember McLain <br /> <br />SPECIAL ITEM <br />Hearing Re: Appeal from action of Planning Commission of August 4~ 1975~ denyin~ <br />Zequest by Dr. Howard Lon~ for modification of the Subdivision Ordinance provi- <br />sions (Sections 2-3.40 and 2-4.01) relating to public streets in subdivisions and <br />lot standards <br /> Mayor Kinney presented the history of this appeal and stated that all material <br />relevant to this item had previously been submitted to the Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney requested that those desiring to speak at this hearing be sworn <br />in at this time by the Court Recorder.
