<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order
<br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the rollwhich is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer~ andMayor Philcox were present.
<br />Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney,,Mr. ~ampbell, Assistant City
<br />Manager/Director of Public WOrks, Mr. Harris, Directdr'of Planning, Mr. Sooby,
<br />Director of Engineering Services, and Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager,
<br />were present.

<br /> There were no agenda amendmdnts presented at this meeting.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer,
<br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved:
<br />
<br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for May 10, 11, 17, and 18, 19761
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-118, approving Claims for the month of April,
<br /> 1976, in the amount of $359,921.07.
<br />
<br />c. Proclaim June 14, 1976, as Flag Day in Pleasanton.
<br />
<br />d. Acceptance of report regarding action taken by the Planning Commission on
<br /> items at their meeting of May 12, 1976.
<br />
<br /> e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 785, amending Chapter VI, Article 2 of the Traffic
<br /> Ordinance (Title V of the Municipal Code) reducing the speed limit to 45 MPH
<br /> on Foothill Road from Bernal Avenue southerly to the City Limit Line.
<br />
<br />fo Adoption of Resolution No. 76-119, approval of modification to Flood Control
<br /> Agreement relating to Santa Rita Road.
<br />
<br />g.Adoption of Resolution No. 76-120, acceptance of Grant Deed from Forrest A.
<br /> and Marguerite Adams for Public Service Easement.
<br />
<br />h. Adoptien of Resolution No. 76-121, approving Progress Payment No. 1 to Gene
<br /> Caldeira Grading and Paving Co., in the amount of $23,042.25, for work com-
<br /> pleted on Project No~ 76-1, Abbie Street Paving.
<br />

<br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
<br />Witke Appeal
<br /> Mrs° Charlotte A. Witke, 2790 Longspur Way, spoke regarding her intent to
<br />appeal UP-76-13, Oak Tree Center Parking Lot, and the reasons for this appeal.
<br />Mrs. Witke was advised this appeal would be heard by the City Council on June
<br />14, 1976.

<br /> Burning of Fallon House
<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report of the Assistant City Manager dated May 24,
<br /> 1976, regarding this matter. He stated the fire exercise burn was the result .,
<br /> of various mistakes, Although he had verbally reprimanded the officers in
<br /> charge no formal reprimands had occurred at this time.
